Bachata Footwork and Shines

This class is meant for solo dancing throughout the session. This class focuses on Bachata Footwork that you can do on your own or while dancing with your partner. It is meant to add sensuality, sass, embellishments and shine to your Bachata dance.

Merengue is a very popular dance in Latin America. Originally from Dominican Republic. Merengue has a very easy two step rhythm. It is the "hip hop" of the latin rhythms, with its strong drums and pop music feel. Merengue is danced in partners in a closed or open hold embrace with lots of hip movement and twirls to make it interesting. We cover the basics moves of Merengue in this class and get you ready for the next time you hear this fun music!

Ladies Styling

This is a Salsa class where we teach the followers to use their arms, and embellish their footwork. We focus on adding style to their turns. We teach footwork shines, body movements, hand movements that accompany common basics and common dance moves. Mainly we help the followers find their dance personality and add their flare to their dancing.

Lindy Hop: Basic, Turns, and Combos

Lindy hop is the original swing dance, born in Harlem, New York, in the 1930s. It's still danced all around the world today and is enjoying another resurgence here in Vancouver. It's high energy and is a ton of fun. You can dance Lindy to almost any song that has stood the test of time from any decade, so it's very versatile. You can use it at: weddings, Christmas parties, graduations, or any event with a DJ playing multi-era music.

In the span of 3 different workshops we will cover the swing out, plus essential turns and variations.
