2. Giro: Vals vs Milonga vs Tango

Length: 1 hour

Level: Intermediate / Advanced

Detail: One turn pattern, adapted to different styles of musicality! Learn how to generate different accent points in order to make all your vocabulary, available for any type of dances: tango-vals-milongas

3. Changing Dynamics & The Art of the Pause as Punctuation

Length: 1 hour

Level: Intermediate

Detail: How to create, a pause without loosing the dancing feeling, how to keep the the moment alive and how to choose the right steps and timing to maximize the comfort and clarity of the pause. How to go from slow or still to fast or very fast. How does it apply in interpretation.

The Instructor

Gabriel El Huracan started his tango career in Montréal and from the beginning thoroughly immersed himself in this unique world. Gab has studied with many masters, and has developed a style of his own! He has taught in Montreal since 2010, and at "Air de Tango" and currently travels across America, and has distinguished himself in several cities and countries, such as:

  • Fort de France in Martinique, SanJuan Puerto Rico
  • In the United States: Portland, Pittsburgh, New York, Cleveland, Boston, Las Vegas, Seatle
  • Canada: Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, Quebec City, Trois-Rivières, Calgary, Victoria


Gabriel El Huracan has worked with various masters to tame several kinds; Milonguero, Salon, Nuevo ... etc, which has led him to a better understanding of each of these 'styles' and of course develop his own tango "hybrid" which defines him!

Gab has developed a teaching style based on the clarity of the transmission of his technical knowledge, endless creativity, a powerful need for connection and share the passion of the foregoing. Being a firm believer that learning has no end, he continues to evolve and improve.

He is recognized for accurate explanations in his teachings , and the ability to adapt teaching to all types of students, using multiple teaching methods to still reach the largest possible number of people. While keeping an enjoyable learning atmosphere, he always take into consideration the rules of conduct and navigation, to facilitate the transition for the student of the class to the dance floor.

Called "El Huracán" by most, Gabriel is an energetic dancer and teacher, and is intuitive and passionate.
